WINESCOUT
Temperature Controlled Shipping
Weather Hold
If temperatures are too high in your area, we are happy to “Weather Hold” your order for fall delivery at no additional charge.
Adult Signature
An adult signature is required upon delivery. If no one is available, the package will be returned to the facility, which may result in transit delays or the wine being sent back to us.
Expedited Services
FedEx or UPS Next Day Air & 2 Day Air services are available for an additional fee. Please note that for Texas, temperature-controlled service is the mandatory shipping option.
- 1
Your wine leaves our Napa Valley warehouse in refrigerated trucks (the trucks depart weekly).
- 2
It then arrives at your regional hub and is handed off to FedEx or UPS delivery services. To keep your items perfectly chilled during this final stretch of delivery, we highly recommend adding an ice pack — just let your Scout know, and they’ll happily handle it for you!
- 3
While total delivery may take up to three weeks, please be assured your wine is fully protected throughout transit. Your order is held in temperature-controlled warehouses and travels via climate-regulated transport to the shipping hub nearest you.
- 4
The final delivery typically takes 1–2 days after tracking activates.
Tracking Information
You’ll receive a tracking number via email when your order is processed. Shipping information will come from our shipping partner WeShip. There will be a gap of 7–14 days in tracking information where it may simply read “Label Created” or “Information Sent to FedEx”. When the final leg carrier receives your shipment, you will be able to track your package’s progress and the tracking will go active via the link you were sent.
Consistent Refrigeration
From our refrigerated warehouse to the refrigerated trucks and temperature-controlled service hubs, your order is kept safe and refrigerated every step of the way until it’s handed over to FedEx or UPS. For added peace of mind, again we recommend adding an ice pack to your order at checkout.
