The wine brings together two distinct personalities of Cabernet Sauvignon, using the same clones from the two original Robert Mondavi estate vineyards: the iconic To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville and the Wappo Hill Vineyard, which Robert planted at his hilltop home in Stags Leap District.
The 2023 vintage in Napa Valley was exceptional, with one of the longest growing seasons in a decade or more leading to freshness, purity, and elegance.
Ripe raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry, with hints of dried herb, graham cracker, and mineral popping against the fresh fruit notes. It is a plush with density and great structure, a beautiful wine that will drink well now or reward up to a decade in the cellar.
