2023 Occidental 'Freestone Occidental' Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
Steve Kistler’s Pinot Noir project is laser focused on crafting world-class wine from the headlines in the Freestone-Occidental area. He found inspiration in the climate and soils of the uplifted marine terraces and got to work. 2023 evokes juicy red berries and a killer balance of finesse and energy. Iris and rose hip notes fill in the background as the long, piercing finish shows a remarkably pure and unadorned feel. We love that trademark Bodega Bay salinity and sculpted tannins. Delicious now, this has a bright future in the bottle as well.

A tightly focused beam of bitter cherry, damson plum and raspberry coulis streams through this red, with mouthwatering cut in the form of ocean breeze minerality that runs throughout. Iris and rose hip notes fill in the background as the long, piercing finish shows a remarkably pure and unadorned feel. A high-definition Pinot. Drink now through 2035. 3,650 cases made.
