2023 Clos i Terrasses 'Laurel' Blanc Priorat
From the legendary Clos i Terrasses and the visionary Daphne Glorian, the 2023 Laurel Blanc captures the soul of Priorat in a luminous, slate-kissed white. A deft blend of 85% Garnacha Blanca, 8% Chenin Blanc, and 7% Viognier—hand-harvested, manually pressed, and fermented with native yeasts in barrel and amphora—this is precision winemaking rooted in the rugged Les Manyetes vineyard. Seven months of aging reveal a wine of texture and tension, with aromas of white peach, jasmine, and crushed stone leading to a palate laced with citrus oil, almond, and a saline edge. A brilliant match for seafood, roast chicken, or creamy cheeses.

Wine Advocate
For the first time in years, there's a new wine from Clos i Terrasses. And it's a white! The 2022 Laurel White comes from a plot in Manyetes with one hectare of white grapes—Garnacha Blanca, Chenin Blanc, Viognier and a little Moscatel planted between 2013 and 2015. The grapes were picked in early August, and the full clusters were pressed and the juice put in 400-liter barrels and amphorae where it matured for eight months. It has a golden color and a serious nose that's a little different from pure Garnacha, with the classical waxy apples and pollen but a little more exotic and nuanced. The palate is serious and balanced, with a nice texture, dry and chalky with a tasty, focused and clean finish. Very promising. This was tasted a couple of weeks before bottling. 3,400 bottles.
