Originally the Voisin estate was founded (and subsequently named) by Jean Voysin in 1583. The land here holds lots of promise and is on the the plateau of Saint-Émilion. The blue clay subsoil is similar to that of its neighbors Chateau Cheval Blanc, Chateau Figeac, and Petrus. It certainly does not disappoint.
Finely spiced aromas of dark berry, blackberry with a fine oak nuance interwoven on the palate. This is a juicy and powerful wine with further notes of tobacco and leather. Drink up!

James Suckling

Stewed blackberry, praline, lemon zest and clove on the nose. It's full-bodied with firm, powdery tannins. Polished and concentrated. The wood notes need time to integrate. Polished and complex. Try from 2024.
