I’m a Napa Valley native, through and through. In fact, I am third-generation Napa native who grew up right on Main Street in downtown Napa! I ventured “up the hill” (aka Angwin) to obtain my B.A. in English literature from Pacific Union College (right over the crest from CADE winery). After graduating, I continued my academics in San Francisco where I studied merchandise marketing. So how did I get into wine? It’s a true love story… After finishing my academic pursuits, I began a job in restaurants and hospitality where I met my husband, a Napa Valley Private Chef. He introduced me to food and wine pairing and I was sold! As our love grew, so did my passion for all things food and wine, and with his encouragement, I decided to pursue a full-time career in the wine industry.
I started in hospitality at the Carneros Inn and then moved onto Wine Club Management. I found that it merged my love for wine with my passion for creating lasting relationships with clients, but I was hungry for more wine knowledge. I was encouraged to apply to Wine Scout and I’ve been delighted to have been with the company since 2017! I am always learning and developing my palate and love sharing my passion for wine, food, and conversation with my clients.
There’s a saying in my husband’s family: “That’s the second best (insert whatever you’re enjoying) I’ve ever had. I’ll let you know when I’ve found the best.” I think the pursuit of delicious wine is like that idea. You can absolutely love and enjoy what you are drinking right now, and also have that wanderlust that there’s bound to be the next “best” wine for you around the corner‐let’s find it together!
