Woah! Nearly ten years as a Wine Scout—where does the time go? My last name has changed, but my passion for wine and hospitality remains as strong as ever.
Born and raised in the heart of Sonoma, wine has always been woven into my story. From pouring drinks at my sister’s graduation party at fourteen to savoring my first Champagne in college, my love affair with wine has been a lifelong journey. Studying wine during culinary school shifted my passion from food to the art of entertaining—because let’s be honest, the best moments in life are shared over a great meal with great friends and an even better bottle (or two) of wine.
With nearly two decades in hospitality, my path took me from tending bar at The Carneros Inn to opening OSO Sonoma, then diving headfirst into fine wine at a local wine shop. That’s where my so-called "wine educated" mind was completely blown open, deepening my appreciation for both Old World elegance and West Coast expression‐and introducing me to the magic of wine’s longevity. How incredible is it that we can drink a wine as old, if not older, than ourselves and find it just beginning to mature?
Since joining Wine Scout in 2017, I’ve dedicated myself to connecting clients with wines that excite them‐whether it’s tracking down a legendary vintage or introducing them to something unexpected. But in all honesty, my favorite wine-win is when I help a couple find a bottle they both love on a casual Tuesday night, even when their palates couldn’t be more different.
