Born from the Quintessa estate, Illumination 2023 is a beacon of Sauvignon Blanc's elegance and complexity. Aromas of grapefruit peel, lemon curd, and white peach dance with wild thyme and clover blossom, reflecting the cool vintage’s finesse. On the palate, bright kumquat and guava meld with wet slate and elderflower, offering a harmonious balance of texture, racy acidity, and minerality. Crafted with the same precision as Quintessa, this vintage is perfect for summer pairings and promises age-worthy brilliance. Don’t miss the chance to add this radiant gem to your collection!

Most easily identified by its breathtaking stone wall that fronts the property on the Silverado Trail, this remarkable 280-acre Rutherford estate is the crown jewel in Agustin Huneeus’ kingdom. The last great “undiscovered property” in the Valley when it was purchased in 1989, the amazing potential of this heavenly plot of Earth gave them reason to believe that it could be one of the great wine estates of the world. Possessing a lake, its own minivalley, five hills, a river, four microclimates and numerous different soil types, few vineyards anywhere encompass such diversity. With a little hard work, serious winemaking talent in Charles Thomas, and a commitment to results in the bottle, Quintessa was born. One vineyard, one singular estate wine… the results speak for themselves!

Vibrant, herbaceous aromas of lemon verbena and thyme lead to tangy citrus and nervy mineral flavors on an almost chewy, tangy texture. Medium-bodied, fresh and well balanced. Made from 58% sauvignon blanc, 32% sauvignon musque and 10% semillon. Medium-bodied and acid driven. Fermented in barrels, concrete eggs and one ceramic amphora.

An extraordinary white, with details of beeswax, honeysuckle and lanolin giving way to succulent white peach, nectarine and lemon curd flavors on a plush, juicy frame. Shows details of marmalade and candied ginger, with hints of litsea oil and lemon balm that linger on the long, expressive finish. Drink now through 2035.
