2022 Keplinger 'Oakville Ranch' Cabernet Sauvignon
Perched high above Dalla Valle on the Vaca range, Oakville Ranch is a crown jewel of red volcanic terroir—where elevation, aspect, and Phil Coturri’s organic farming converge to craft wines of soul and stature. Since 2014, Helen Keplinger has shaped this site’s rugged beauty into Cabernet of elegance and precision, and the 2022 may be her most expressive yet.
A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, aged 21 months in 75% new oak, this wine opens with aromas of red cherry, cocoa powder, rose, and white tobacco. On the palate: cassis, crushed stone, and cigar wrapper, all carried by fine, structured tannins and Oakville Ranch’s signature minerality. It’s vibrant, layered, and destined to evolve gracefully over the next 10–15 years.
One of the most poised and powerful reds of the vintage.
Secure your allocation now—this mountain cab won’t stay grounded for long.

Lots of sweet cassis, blackberries, crushed stone, and graphite emerge from the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch, one of the more concentrated, structured wines in the vintage. Sporting a deep purple hue as well as medium to full-bodied richness on the palate, it has ripe, building tannins and rock-solid mid-palate depth. Give bottles just 2-3 years and enjoy over the following 10-15. The blend is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, aged 21 months in 75% new oak.
