2021 Chateau de L'Eglise Vieille Haut-Medoc

The estate was originally purchased in 1970 by Damien and Dominique Fedieu’s father who discovered that the grounds once held an old church. He named the wine after the “Old Church” - l'Église Vieille. What really stands out in this wine is the high percentage of Petit Verdot (46%), it adds a real depth to the palate, firm structure, and an aromatic violet nose. Very unusual, but very tasty. Think ripe plum and cherry with soft baking spice and a firm structure and dense core. An absolute steal for the price!
