2020 La Chablisienne Grande Cuvee Chablis Premier Cru
La Chablisienne dates back to1923. Under the leadership of Abbé Balitrand, a number of winegrowers joined forces to better withstand the economic difficulties of the period. Together, in the middle of the Chablis vineyards, they created a cooperative winery to market their wines.
The Premier Cru Grande Cuvee is a blend of Chablis premier crus from the right and left banks of the Serein River. It offers the perfect snapshot of the quality of the 2020 vintage with the perfect amount of age. The nose is lifted with the citrus pith, lemongrass, and chalky minerality of Chablis still distinct, but now married with slight honeyed notes and hints of white mushroom. Perfect for those looking for Chablis with all the complexities that come from a little bottle age.
